How to Calibrate Ford R7F701408 Mileage with ODOMaster

 In this post, we’ll demonstrate how to calibrate 2018- Ford R7F701408 dashboard mileage using OBDSTAR ODOMaster.

Procedure:

Connect ODOMaster tablet to Ford vehicle via OBD cable

In the screen, select ODO Meter-> FORD/LINCOLN-> FORD/ LINCOLN V41.54 (make sure the software is the newest)

Choose Manual Select Model-> FORD-> EXPLORER-> TYPE7 (2018- R7F701408 DENSO)

Ensure the network connection is normal

Read the ECU info successfully, the current mileage is 22571KM

Back to the last interface

Select "Mileage Calibration"

Four steps are required to perform:

• ECU Info.
• Read the current mileage
• Write Mileage
• Reset

Click "Start" to complete these steps

Input the new mileage (e.g.8000) to calibrate

Wait a while until all the process are completed

Finally, read the ECU info again and check if the current mileage is the same as modified value.

Done!

How to Read and Write Toyota Denso GEN3 ECM with OBDSTAR DC706

 TOYOTA DENSO GEN3 [R7F701201+R7F701202] ECM can be read and wrote using OBDSTAR DC706 ECU Tool by Bench perfectly.

Requirement:

• Make sure the ECM software is V31.35 or above
• Ensure the internet connection is normal during operation.
• Prepare OBDSTAR DC706 main unit, main cable, OBDSTAR P004 Adapter, ECU clone jumper, 12V power supply, and Toyota Denso GEN3 ECU

Select ECU Flasher>> ECM

Input gen3 to quickly obtain the ECM model (TOYOTA DENSO GEN3 R7F701201+R7F701202)

Select "Guide" to check the operation guide and wiring diagram

There are two MCUs in this ECU. One of the MCU types is R7F701202 (store ECM data), the other MCU type is R7F701201 (store TCM data). If cloning is required, both ECM and TCM data need to be cloned. This function can read and restore flash data of the TCM and ECM through Bench.

The wiring diagrams are the same.

After connection, select BENCH method and P004 adapter

And select ECM (R7F701202)

Then perform the corresponding operation

Connect>> Read INT Flash (R7F701202)>> Write INT Flash (R7F701202)>> Disconnect

All are also OK.
