Effortless Fiat ECM Cloning on Bench with OBDSTAR DC706

 OBDSTAR DC706 can clone most Fiat ECMs on bench, only GPEC3 MPC5674F by Boot so far. Here takes MAGNETI MARELLI IAW 10GF CAN MPC5642+95640 as an example to show how to clone ECM (read & write EEPROM & flash) with the newest ECM software V30.07. OBDSTAR P003 Adapter is required.

Operation guide:

Before the operation, prepare all devices incl. OBDSTAR DC706 unit, P004 ECU Clone Jumper, OBDSTAR P003 Kit, main cable, 12V2A charger and Fiat IAW 10GF ECM.

Connect 12V2A charger to DC706

Connect DC706 with internet, and make sure the network connection is normal

Select ECU Flasher>> ECM>> ECM V30.07>> Brand>> Quick search FIAT in the search box>> FIAT MAGNETI MARELLI IAW 10GF CAN MPC5642+95640 (BENCH+P003)

Click "Pinout" to check the wiring diagram, and connect DC706 device and Fiat ECM with the corresponding harness

Click "ECU info" to read the hardware version number, software number, fiat drawing, Homologation number, ISO code, programming date, ECU IMMO state, ECU Startup and ECU diag.

Click "Start" to enter operation page.

Click the corresponding option to read ECU info, connect P003 and OBDSTAR DC706 ECU Tool, read eeprom, read flash, write eeprom, write flash and disconnect.

Effortless Data Transfer: Exporting Files from OBDSTAR P50 to PC

 Customer problem:

I have a file that is read and saved on OBDSTAR P50. I want to use this file on my computer. How can i do?

You can use a USB drive to export the data file from OBDSTAR P50 tablet to PC.

In general, the backup data is stored in My Data under Data Management.

Please follow the guide to do:

1. Insert the USB drive into the USB port on the top side of P50 device

2. Turn on OBDSTAR tablet

3. Select Data Management>> My Data>> Local Data

4. Find the data file you need

5. Long press the file name and the file will be ticked

6. If you want to copy multiple files at the same time, tick the corresponding files.

7. Then click "Copy" at the bottom of the tablet screen

8. After copying, go to USB Disk, click "Paste" at the bottom and wait for the paste is successful.

9. Wait about 10 seconds before removing the USB drive

10. The data file is successfully exported from OBDSTAR P50 Airbag Reset Tool, and it can be used on computer by plugging the USB drive.

This method applies to OBDSTAR DC706 ECU Tool as well.

OBDSTAR MT200 Guide: Changing Ford 6000CD Radio Code by Bench

OBDSTAR MT200 is the latest handheld radio decoding tool to support read & write EEPROM, code read/change/off and other functions for Ford, VW, etc. This is a demo on how to read & change Ford Visteon 6000CD radio code by bench.

Tools Required

OBDSTAR Radio Decoding Tool MT200

Ford 6000CD Radio

Mini USB Upgrade Cable

120 OHM Resistor

Jumper

(The brand and model can be determined by identifying the appearance and label of the module.)

Connection

Open OBDSTAR APP, select:

Dash/Airbag/ECU/Radio >> Radio Pinout(MT200) >> FORD >> Visteon 6000CD(TMS470)

Here we can check the wiring diagram.

The specific model can be identified by the appearance of the product.

Procedure

After successful connection, plug OBDSTAR MT200 to a 12V power supply.

Function >> Other function >> Radio Code V30.01 >> Ford >> Visteon 6000CD >> TMS470 >> BENCH >> Read EEPROM(24C16)

*Note: If the model is unknown, you can open the cover to determine the specific model of the module on the chip.

Reading data…

As we can see, the file name can be modified.

For saving data, a data cable can be used to connect to computer for transmission.

Verify the pincode after pincode reading.

Press key1 for the 1st digit of the pincode, key2 for the 2nd, key3 for the 3rd, Key4 for the 4th, key5 for confirmation.

It can be adjusted normally. Pincode verification is successful.

Code Change >> Input Code:8051

Operation success.

Power off for 10s, then verify that the pincode change was successful.

Go back to read pincode again. It has been: 8051

Enter a new pincode. It can be adjusted normally.

Solving Routine Maintenance Overdue: Resetting Maserati Ghibli Oil Light

 Today I'm going to show how to reset the oil service light on 2018–2023 Maserati Ghibli. You may notice my maintenance is 0 days left & 0 miles, which means I need to reset the light now. Also, you'll find the screen shows "Routine Maintenance Overdue". To reset this light, I will need a tool — Obdstar X200 Pro2.

Plug the Obdstar connector into OBD.

Once that's plugged in the OBD, the Obdstar device will turn on. If it doesn't turn on, press the power button.

Turn ignition on without putting your foot on the brake.

Make sure Obdstar Oil Reset Tool is connected to the Internet.

* If you don't see "Service" app, connect to Internet & upgrade.

Service >> Oil/ Service Reset >> Latest Version >> Europe >> Maserati >> Ghibli >> 2018–2020 >> IPC

This model is equipped with security gateway module, and FCA 12+8 Special Conversion Diagnosis Connector is required. Otherwise maintenance reset cannot be performed.

Find the location of the security gateway module, remove the plug of the security gateway module, and then connect the FCA 12+8 special conversion diagnosis connector.

Please switch on the ignition, and switch off the engine!

Reset success.

Go ahead to start the car.

The service warning has gone. And the days and distance were changed.
