OBDSTAR P50 with airbag reset software V30.32 currently supports 146+ Subaru ECU part No by OBD or Bench. It can perfectly read ECU info, read DTC, erase DTC, read & write EEPROM& Flash and erase crash no issues.
How to reset SUBARU airbag by OBDSTAR P50?
1.Device and accessories required
- Airbag ECU Part No: i.e.SUBARU 98221SG080
- OBDSTAR P004 adapter+ P004 jumper
- Main cable
- OBDSTAR P50 Airbag Reset Tool
2.Operation guide
Keep P50 in charging and communication in the whole process.
Select Airbag Reset>> All>> Airbag Reset icon>> Airbag Reset V30.32 (newest version)>> Auto Search Part Number>> Input the part number of ECU (case insensitive, fuzzy search supported)
Note: the part number is on the ECU label.
Click Operation instructions to check the related operation steps and wiring diagram
- Read ECU info and DTC to confirm whether crash record data/crash fault exits
- Read flash and backup flash data
- Refer to the write flash mode wiring diagram, confirm that there is a wiring diagram corresponding to the ECU, and then proceed to the next
- Erase crash. After executing this function, all other functions will not be able to communicate except the write flash function.
- Refer to the write flash mode wiring diagram, remove the resistance at the specified position, and weld the 10k resistance.
- Write flash. After writing, power off the ECU for 30s and then power on it.
- Erase DTC
- Read ECU info and DTC again to check if the crash record data/crash fault has been cleared. If yes, the repair is successful.
Follow the wiring diagram to connect OBDSTAR P004 adapter, P004 jumper, Subaru airbag computer, and P50, also need to power on the Switch button on P004 adapter
Then start to perform the corresponding steps.
Step 1: Read ECU information
Read out the part number
Step 2: Read DTC
Step 3: Read Flash and backup data
Disconnect the 12V power supply of P004 adapter (turn off the ignition) and wait for 30 seconds, and then reconnect it (turn on the ignition).
Step 4: Erase crash
Step 5: Write Flash
Disconnect the 12V power supply of P004 adapter (turn off the ignition) and wait for 30 seconds, and then reconnect it (turn on the ignition).
Step 6: Erase DTC
Step 7: Read ECU info again
Step 8: Read DTC again
