This is a demo on how to use OBDSTAR P50 to do Toyota 89170–08110 airbag reset by bench method. Besides, P50 also supports 59 brands and 7600 ECU part no. for airbag reset. Read this article to learn to do in minutes.
Accessories Required
Toyota Airbag ECU
Main cable
* Make sure P50 Airbag Reset Tool is in charging and communication during whole process.
Operation Process
Airbag reset >> Airbag reset >> Latest version >> Input the part number of ECU(case insensitive, fuzzy search supported) >> TOYOTA 89170–08110(DENSO) R7F7016443[BENCH] >> Start
This function requires a CANFD adapter. Please connect the CANFD adapter before performing the corresponding function.
Remarks: Click operation instructions(Guide&Pinout) at the bottom left to check the best detection method.
There are multiple wiring methods for this ECU. Please refer to the matching wiring method to perform the corresponding functions!
Connect the harness according to the wiring diagram.
Click "ECU information" to check if the airbag part number is correct.
Click "Read DTC", there is a crash fault code.
Advance function >> Read EEPROM[R7F7016443]
This function is available by connecting the server, please ensure the Internet connection is normal.
Press "Start".
Save EEPROM file.
Operation success.
Please disconnect the 12V power supply(or turn off the ignition) and wait for 30 seconds, and then reconnect the 12V power supply(or turn on the ignition).
Press "Erase crash".
Has the "Read EEPROM" function been executed? OK
This function is available by connecting the server, please ensure the Internet connection is normal.
Choose EEPROM file
Erase crash in file…
Erase crash in file success.
Change will be written through the "Write EEPROM" function. Continue? OK
Press "START".
Operation success.
Please disconnect the 12V power supply(or turn off the ignition) and wait for 30s, and then reconnect the 12V power supply (or turn on the ignition).
Press "Erase DTC".
Erase DTC success.
After the operation is done, go back to read DTC again.
There's no crash fault codes!
Airbag reset has done.
